When Selling Your Home, Here’s a Tip:
De Personalize Your Home
What does De Personalize mean?
De Personalize means: To make impersonal.
In staging terms, that means remove all personal photographs and personal items that could reflect your beliefs and personality. You want your home to appeal to the masses not just those that like your style. Use this picture for example.
These pictures are too personal. Remember, buyers are trying to picture themselves living in the home and making it their own. Do you think they can do that when they are constantly reminded that YOU live there?
Not to mention, showcase the ample storage and counter top space that built in cabinet provides.
When you are selling your home you need to be selling your home and all it’s features. The home is no longer about you. You are trying to sell your home to a buyer. The home is now about a buyer.
As I always tell my clients, living in your home and selling your home are two different things.
The home should be clutter free, de personalized and clean. These 3 suggestions should be taken seriously if you want to sell your home quickly and for top dollar.
